Android: the new face of operating systems

We all like to have a smart life. Being smarter is good. We are on a smarter world now. All these are, because of the coming of unique ideas and technologies.  Now a day the leading item in the market is the smart phones. These have got a good technological support. Now the stars of the market are smart phones and tablets. These serve us more than a mobile phone can do. The first smart phone was released on 1992 by the IBM Simon Inc.  Later many models came and each of them fought against each other in the market. Then the Symbian, Palm, windows, blackberry, iPhone, android, bada etc. came in the market.  All these create a noticeable change in the market.

Now the latest trend has become the android phones. The founder of android Inc is Palo Alto, it was in 2003. In 2005 the ownership of android is acquired by the Google Inc. In 2007 the android Inc came into an agreement with the companies like Intel, LG, Motorola, Samsung, T- mobiles, marvel technology media etc. As a result the origin of android operating system occurs. This led to a revolutionary change in the mobile industry. As a result of this an open standard for all mobiles has been achieved.

The Google has tried their maximum effort in updating, thus by enabling new technologies to the users. Thus there are many updated version available in market now. The versions are named in alphabetical order with certain dessert. The hardware used is of type ARM architecture. There are a lot of features for the android operating system. The main features are as follows, handset layout, storage, connectivity, messaging, multiple language support, web browser, java script, media support, streaming media support, additional hardware support, multi- touch, Bluetooth, video calling, multi tasking, and voice based features, tethering, screen capture, external storage.

Usually the android operating system is used in smart phones and tablets. But we can use this on other electronic equipments like laptops, eBook, net books, smart books etc. This was achieved because of the open and customizable nature.

The first android phone came into the market was HTC Dream. This was launched in 2008.

The applications for the android phones are available in the android market. We can download it from there. Around hundred thousand apps are available in the market. We can have a large number of apps which perform different task. The only confusion is to choose the apps since there are in a large number.
