Google Business Applications

Google has long been a leader in cloud enterprise software so it is no surprise that Google has a full suite of business applications that allow or enhance cloud business applications. The business applications include Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Cloud connect, Google Groups, and several other applications. Business applications are a private vendor web-based version of Microsoft Office Suite with all of the necessary business applications.  Google Business Application is free to all Google users however there is a $99 fee for the Premium version which includes tech support and training. The first thing that you need to have to use the business applications is a Gmail account. Once you have created this account you can then log in and view all of the business applications.
Google Calendar is a time management overlay and one of the first and easiest to use of the business applications.  You may view your calendar in weekly, daily, monthly or four day view.  The application allows for creation of different calendar views for Personal business or any other type of life’s work that needs a scheduling component.  It is advised from practical experience to color code the entries so as to be able to tell at a glance the range of your activities for the day.
Google Docs is a word processing program to manage all of your correspondence.  Google Docs contains a word processor, a spreadsheet, a power point slide presentation program.  You can create these individually or as an online collaborate which greatly enhances business work flow.  A person does not have to use the same computer all the time because Google docs stores in a cloud you have access to them from any computer with an Internet connection.
Google Cloud connect is a wonderful product for so many companies that operate their business over the Internet.  Very often their staffers work from home or in different work places and with cloud connectivity your business data is available to them.  There is a limit of 5 terabytes of data so that for most businesses this is more than they will ever use. And as business grow and use the cloud computing, they like it more and more because it is fast.
Google Groups was created primarily as a Face book type of usage but has grown into a business application because it allows you to connect with people, access information, and communicate effectively over email and on the web. People are categorized and put into circles so that unlike Face book you can chose with circles to share information with. Face book only allows you to share information on your Wall and everyone who is your Friend sees the information.  Google allows for people to be put in circles and therefore only shown what you want them to see.  This is helpful in many situations from personal to business.
These four Google Business Applications can greatly enhance and speed up your flow of business.  However it must be noted that some people are skeptical of cloud computing in general.  The use of the cloud embraces the fact that you are handing over your business data to a third party vendor over whom you have no contract or control.  Cloud computing vendor companies are aware that even one security breach will put them out of business so they have all established password protection and data encryption software to prevent disasters.
All in all these Google products allow for successful business computing and should be used like everything in life with precautions.
